PARAMETER          You use commands (words) to tell the computer to do
                   something.  PARAMETERS are words (or numbers or both)
                   added to a command that tell the computer HOW to
                   carry out the command.

                                 "GO"

          That's a clear, simple command.  But we can add all
           sorts of words to make the meaning more specific.

         "GO UPSTAIRS RIGHT NOW TO YOUR/MY/THE BEDROOM/BATHROOM
             AND BRUSH YOUR/THE DOG'S TEETH/HAIR/CLOTHES."

     Every word that follows "GO" is a PARAMETER of that simple
     command.  Of course, you'd choose exactly the words that say
     what you mean.  Some combinations might be silly or useless.

     We can choose an almost unlimited number of words to go with
     "GO"  And within some limits (grammar, syntax, and logic),
     we can arrange the words many different ways.  But computers
     are limited to certain combinations (correct SYNTAX).
